Brian T. Edwards is Professor of English and Dean of the School of Liberal Arts at Tulane University in New Orleans. As a scholar he examines US literature and culture in a global context, particularly in relation to the Middle East and North Africa. He is the author and co-editor of multiple works, amongst them On the Ground: New Directions in Middle East and North African Studies (2013) which was developed out of a symposium held at Northwestern University in Qatar.
