Paula Penfold is a New Zealand investigative journalist who has worked on a number of high-profile stories, most notably the Teina Pora case, in which a man wrongly convicted was released from prison after 21 years. Penfold has worked across media—starting her career in radio, moving to television in 1998, and since 2016 working for Fairfax, establishing the long-form documentary investigative unit, Stuff Circuit. She was named 'Reporter of the Year' at the 2019 New Zealand Television Awards.
