Interview with Jane Jarvis

2021

Jane Jarvis discusses the history of British advertising and the impact of the US on emerging talent in the 1960s and 1970s. She focuses on influential TV commercials, taking us behind the scenes to explore the creativity and inspiration for iconic adverts that have both won awards and stuck in the minds of consumers for decades.

In 2015, after a career in research and production at Anglia TV in the UK, Jane joined the History of Adverting Trust, a non-profit archive and collecting organization for advertising heritage. She manages the delivery and production of the Inspiring Minds oral history project, a series of filmed interviews with some of the most influential figures in British advertising, including Sir Alan Parker and Ridley Scott.
