The road to distribution for any film can be tough. For Arab film this can be a particularly difficult track to ride. Deana Nassar gives her insight into film distribution and explores the question of what makes a film 'Arab'. She discusses her experience working with Hollywood and grassroots filmmakers in North America.

Deana Abdalla Nassar is the Artistic Director and Festival Programmer of the Arab Film Festival, considered the most important Arab film festival outside the Arab world. She is a member of the Hollywood Liaison for the Muslim Public Affairs Council, and is also known for her work as an actress in the popular films Grey Matter (2017) and Unfair & Ugly (2018).
