Arab Identities, images in film

Who Tells Our Story explores the power dynamics of narrative and representation in media.

This inaugural exhibition at the Media Majlis Museum examined how stories are constructed, who has the power to tell them, and how representation shapes our understanding of communities, cultures, and identities.

Through interactive installations, archival materials, and contemporary artworks, visitors were invited to critically examine the role of media in shaping narratives about the Arab world and its diaspora. The exhibition questioned whose voices are amplified and whose are silenced in mainstream media, and how communities can reclaim their own stories.

Who Tells Our Story established the Media Majlis Museum's commitment to fostering critical dialogue about media, communication, and representation in an increasingly interconnected world.
