In this interview Eugene Rogan talks about several of the themes discussed in Arab Identities, images in film, and gives background to some of the historical aspects behind identity as portrayed in moving images.

Eugene Rogan is Professor of Modern Middle Eastern History, and Director of St. Antony's College Middle East Centre, at the University of Oxford. He is a historian of the Middle East and North Africa from the late Ottoman period to the present day, and author of several best-selling books on the region, most recently The Fall of the Ottomans: The Great War in the Middle East, 1914–1920 (published 2015).
